Chesapeake Caregivers started as a family business on Maryland's Eastern Shore, built on a simple idea: great care comes from people who genuinely care. One family at a time, that reputation grew across the state.
Today that same care is here in Northern Virginia. Our Virginia team supports families across Arlington County, Fairfax County, and the City of Alexandria, with the same hands-on approach and closer to home for the families who need it.
Brothers Chris and Connor Bell lead the Virginia team. They came to this work personally, after coordinating around-the-clock care for their own grandparents and seeing how overwhelming it is to piece together alone. They partnered with the Degen family to do it better here.
We don't just place caregivers. We match them. We take the time to understand each client's needs, personality, and routines, then find the caregiver who truly fits. A few hours a week or 24/7 support, the goal is the same: help your loved one stay independent, comfortable, and at home.

Chris partnered with the Degen family after coordinating 24/7 care for his own grandparents. He leads the Northern Virginia team with a family-centered, all-inclusive approach to home care.

Connor joined his brother Chris and the Degen family with the same conviction: home care should feel personal, reliable, and deeply human, never transactional.
Maureen McNulty
Registered Nurse
A registered nurse licensed in Virginia and Washington, D.C., Maureen has spent decades in critical care, geriatric care management, and clinical research. She builds care plans for clients with complex medical needs and advocates for them and their families across every setting.

John and Susan founded Chesapeake Caregivers in 2009 on Maryland's Eastern Shore, where they own and run the business today. The standard they set there is the one our Virginia team runs on.
